Soundgate GM OnStar Interface
The SoundGate STARMOD2 allows the OnStar system in General Motors vehicles to continue functioning after the factory radio has been replaced. The special design fully duplicates the interaction of the factory radio/OnStar system when installing an aftermarket receiver or CD player.
Features an automatic wake-up circuit, a build-in amplifier, complete DC isolation via a high quality audio transformer, and an external mute lead which can be used to automatically mute the new stereo upon incoming or outgoing OnStar messaging. With the integral relay, the option of routing the incoming OnStar audio through one of the vehicle's speakers is provided.
